Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Medical Services & Educational Program
The role of Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Program of Medical & Educational Communications (Medionet) to realize the vision and message of foundation in "helping people, to help themselves", through supporting and executing various technical projects with national objectives to develop infrastructure of many of governmental sectors in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, by using best technical solutions and localizing it, supporting these entities to employ it in away to achieve development's requirements.
In order to a realize this target, programs has dedicated all its human & financial resources to develop the technical services extended to its clients, introducing a bunch of developed services to serve its clients with distinction, i.e. electronic medical services, governmental electronic dealings, infrastructure, internet & technical consultation, which all aiming to facilitate some of procedures related to Saudi citizen, and residents expatriates in their daily activities, and increasing their awareness and scientific culture of various sciences and disciplines, developing and highlighting Kingdoms' image internationally.
The core projects of specialized programs was having patients access to suitable medical consultation from specialized local & international centers through establishing of advanced technical infrastructure for medical and educational technical communications, for the general management of hospitals of armed forces medical services by linking of (40) hospitals, healthcare center with communicated medicine, and visual connection, and through this high technology supported by developed infrastructure has given decisive solutions for obtaining precise diagnosingof acute diseases and complicated medical cases thru linking theses specialized centers via satellites, thus benefiting from second medical opinion from remote distances without need to come personally and shoulder unnecessary expenses, and saving medical consultations fees inside and outside Kingdom, the matter contributed to recovery of many cases by will of God.
The program has contributed during its working years in introducing international knowledge society of the scientific and practical medical accomplishments have been achieved in Kingdom, and spreading discipline & sciences among concerned individuals through live and direct transmission of surgical operation, medical conferences in Kingdom to the world, i.e. separation of twin-connected babies, using live and directly transmission, adaptation of technology to enable various hospitals and medical centers of communication with its counterparts all over the world, and exchanging information and experiences through advanced communications network.
Among national contributions of program within education sector, realizing vision of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdul Aziz for developing education in Kingdom, by shifting traditional education environment to a smart electronic environment wholly. The program participated in performing of a vital sections of project of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz for developing general education (Tatweer), with it main pillar represented in transferring traditional educations environment, to a smart electronic one, through adaptation of most suitable technical trends within environment of classes, and establishinga smart and advanced gate for schools where thousands of students of general education stages in Kingdom meet.
On other aspect, the program has played a vital role in introduction of scientific national treasurers/exquisitefor Saudi universities, focusing it internationally and participation in obtaining highest international classification ranks among renowned and prestigious universities.
Other strategic projects in educational sector was executing the acceptance and electronic registration unified system (make & female) students within the four governmental universities in Riyadh, lead to facilitate application and selection of universities procedures, without necessity at attend personally, and borne travelling & transportation expenses.
The program hasn't satisfiedworking with technological projects only, but tended to support and patronizing scientific conference & symposiums and extending specialized technical service for these scientific gatherings, and broadcasting these lecture and scientific debates.
